LITTLE MOJAVE
Nature school for children. Rooted in Waldorf philosophy.
"Receive the children in reverence, educate them in love, and send them forth in freedom." - Rudolf Steiner
Within the Waldorf philosophy, the child is not considered a cup to be filled but rather an ember to be kindled. The kindling of the child's spirit is held in rhythm, by way of in-breaths and out-breaths, to emulate the heart. The teacher embodies kindness and warmth - a figure worth imitating in all of her actions. The environment she creates invites play, exploration, goodness, beauty and imagination.

SWEET MOMENTS...
Please enjoy some highlights from this year's first semester at Little Mojave. The littles ones crafted, baked, learned how to harvest and roast acorns over an open fire with prickly pear tea, climbed many boulders, grew a garden from seed, explored caves, danced to live music, and befriended peacocks... among many other things.
